We will start at the front porch that was built using the same materials as the house. On the upper level there are two built-in planter boxes with impatients planted every spring.

Looking to the left a little more is the shed, when the deck was first built this was a sand box for the kids, now since they have long grown out of the sand box faze, a more useful shed is there

While walking around photographing there is this dragonfly landscape ornament near the pond that a real dragonfly landed on, with camera in hand, viola That’s Kewl.

I built this deck in 1984 and I have been maintaining it and the property for 27 years.

This patio off the driveway used to be concrete with a blue stone laid on the grass as a walkway leading to a pressure treated deck. Lets go for a photo walk.

The concrete pad was changed to a 12′ x 16′  Interlocking Paver Patio and the walkway of the same material

When this project was started there was an 8′ x 22′ concrete porch, that was transformed into a 16′ x 26′ Mahogany Porch with an Interlocking Paver walkway leading to a lower patio and deck

This is the walkway to the Mahogany Porch

This project starts at the draivway looking at the walkway and landscape with hostas, azaleas and rhododendrens because of the full shade.

Going down that walkway leads you to another walkway for the deck or to the right for the main patio. If you decide to go straight then down the steps to the lower patio

There are two entrances to the patio, this is the first from the street

Staircase

This staircase was first built 31 years ago using railroad ties and blue stone, after that length of time it needed to be rebuilt, so I discussed all the newer materials with the homeowners used in this type of construction and they made the decision to use the same kind of material for this look.

After going up the stairs ther is a small blue stone landing to this walkway

This is what the area looked like when I first arrived

Patio

This project was the front fence and gate, walkway, patio, landscape, rear fence and side porch

This is the same area after the fence and gate where built and stained white. This house is near the shore so I cut the fence and gate to give the impression of ocean waves

Fence and Gate

Let’s open the gate and go in for a walk. Now you can see the serpentine walkway leading to the composite deck with vinyl railings.
